Optimus Prime was terribly, painfully in love with you.

It was something he had tried to ignore at first. No, of course he didn’t stare at you whenever he got the chance, and of course he didn’t blush when you looked his way, nor did he allow you to inhabit his every waking thought.

But that didn’t last for long. He eventually came to the conclusion that he was in love with you, and honestly? He was okay with that. Him and the rest of Team Prime were trapped on earth, possibly for the rest their lives, and even if him falling for a human was questionable, he wanted to be happy. Didn’t he deserve that much after everything he’d done for the greater good?

Now, he was drowning in it, willingly sinking in the sea of his feelings and making no attempt to swim up. You were a beautiful creature, a beautiful soul, and he wanted nothing more than to make you happy.

But you didn’t know that.

When I decided I wanted to draw Doom, I thought a somber scene with him and Tiplee mourning would be pretty, and then my brain was like, "Just so you know, we ship them now." And I was like
