I thought it could be useful in spells and knot magic !

In the Celtic tradition, nettles are great to ward off spirits when worn, protect your home and may also boost your sexual performances if placed under the mattress.

When putting together any kind of job spell, I always include items/herbs for four intents:

Wealth - actual physical currency I can use to pay bills and buy food.

Prosperity - long term ‘doing well for myself’ beyond just ‘having money for food and bills’, but really having at least the potential to Go Places

Luck - because heck knows I need luck in job interviews and to get people to look at my resume and application

Happiness - oh god, I didn’t include this in the first job spells I did, and LEMME TELL YOU, I wound up with a job that paid decently and had lots of potential for promotion, and I ABSOLUTELY COULD NOT STAND my boss or my coworkers, the work itself was awful, and I cannot describe the absolute dread that filled me before going in to every shift.

[Protip: Aventurine has all four of these properties]

♉ 🌕 FULL BEAVER SUPER MOON IN TAURUS ! NOV. 14.2016 🌕 ♉

Reminder for my moon witches! With this moon phase, it’s the perfect time to perform any spells you might have been putting off or waiting to do!

this is full moon is the beaver moon:

For both the colonists and the Algonquin tribes, this was the time to set beaver traps before the swamps froze, to ensure a supply of warm winter furs. (x) Similarly, now is a good time to cast spells that prepare you for the oncoming winter, and the new year!

it is also a super moon! that means:

Supermoons, also called perigee moons, are when the moon is closer to earth than usual, and appears 14% larger in the sky and up to 30% brighter. This one will be the closest we’ve had in 69 years! Supermoons are known to bring the largest tides of the year, the moon’s gravitational pull creating more variation between tides.

the full moon is good for:

🌕 charging/cleansing crystals and items 🌕 healing 🌕 love magic 🌕 banishing 🌕 clarity

because it’s in Taurus, it’s also good for:

♉ love ♉ self-love ♉ leadership ♉ beauty and confidence spells ♉ glamours ♉ motivation and achievement

super moons are good for:

🌛 sea magic 🌛 tidal magic 🌛 spells that require more power

I Made A Crystal Grid And Moon Phase Tracker Tonight. I Used A Paint Your Own Mandala From Dollar General

I made a crystal grid and moon phase tracker tonight. I used A paint your own mandala from dollar general that I painted over black with blue and splatter some blue, purple, and white on it. I used metallic craft marker for the grid lines and moon stickers for the moon, I had to doctor them up a bit to make it work. Now for a clear coat of poly and then all done.

Quick Witch Tip! 🎃🕯 If You Are In The Broom Closet But Want To Add Sigils To Your Jack-o-lantern,

Quick Witch Tip! 🎃🕯 If you are in the Broom Closet but want to add sigils to your Jack-o-lantern, write them discreetly in the tea light base. I’ve written a sigil for protection and comfort in mine. And to make sure no one finds it, melted the bottom of the tea light just for a quick second to seal it to its base. When the light is burned up by the end of the night, toss them away and no one will be the wiser! Be safe the Samhain and have fun!

Reminder, solar eclipse water!!!

If you live in America mark on your calendars that August 21 will be the solar eclipse. It will peak at 2:44pm EST ( do a bit of research to see what you’ll be able to see and your locally occurring time).

I also highly suggest you collect solar eclipse water during this time. Solar eclipse water is good for supercharging spells to give it an extra kick if you need it as well as it works very well for spells involving transformation, change, or release.

Broke Witch Tips - Magic on a Budget

As capitalism sets its sights on the witchcraft community, it’s easy to get caught up in all the stuff that companies try to sell you.

Alas, not all of us have the money to spend on expensive items. If we're being honest, you probably don't need such items to begin with.

For those that are curious, however, let's talk about how to do magic on a budget.

Vintage style background with hands opening an empty wallet. Icons of a small bottle, a sachet, and mortar with pestle in vintage a vintage art style sit around words that say "Magic on a Budget".

First things first, reframe what you think magic is.

Magic is not what you buy.

It’s not pricey crystals, expensive altar tools, and pretty bottles. As fun as those are, they aren't necessary to practice magic.

All you need to create magic is yourself, your intentions, and your actions.

Still, I said I would talk about how to do magic on a budget, so here are some tips that I have picked up along the way as a broke witch.

Broke Witch Tips

Upcycle what you already have into magical tools. Plenty of the stuff you already own can be used for magic. Make a simmer pot in that old cooking pot. Use the kitchen spices as your herbs in spells.

Thrift stores are great for finding cool bottles and boxes to put your herbs and other magical items in. Also great for spell bottles/jars!

You don’t need every herb under the sun, many of the most accessible (and cheapest) herbs have similar, if not the same, correspondences as the expensive ones.

Buy herbs from the grocery store or farmers market, if possible.

If you have a green thumb, grow the herbs yourself!

Tarot cards can be expensive, but you can use a deck of regular playing cards for cartomancy if needed! There are also options such as tarot apps and websites that allow you to use their digital tarot decks for free.

Make your own tarot or oracle deck if you're artistic and have the time/energy to do so!

You don’t need to have an expensive cast-iron cauldron, just find a fire safe bowl or container. For me, I use a handmade bowl that I got at a fair in my hometown! Works like a charm.

The dollar store is a great place to find inexpensive candles, usually they’re tea lights but you might get lucky and even find some chime candles.

If you're working with deities: plenty of them like hand-made items for offerings! So you don’t need to go out and break the bank just to buy an expensive statue.

This is not a post to shame the folks who own expensive things for witchcraft. I’m sure most of us would agree that if we had the money to go all out, we certainly would! This is just a post for those of us that can’t afford costly goods but would still like to have physical items when practicing magic.

Feel free to add your tips for practicing low-cost magic!

Have a lovely day <3
