It was the biggest mistake of your life, walking into the Commander’s office that late at night.

Despite your growing adoration for the man your intentions had been completely innocent, it was a simple question about the upcoming mission in a few weeks.

With a wary glance out of his large glass window, he promised you a few minutes of his time. A few minutes had turned into an hour very easily - you really shouldn’t have got him talking about his strategies, that was the best way to make him lose track of time.

A gaunt expression had come over him when he stopped talking mid-sentence, immediately you’d been concerned about him, “Are you okay?” you asked when a large hand clutched his jaw.

How could he be so foolish as to lose track of time? Especially on a full moon!

“Out!” he barked at you, pointing a long finger towards the door that led to your safety. His unexpected aggression had thrown you slightly and you were rightly shocked at his uncharacteristic tone.

Lucio sat idly on one end of the table. You and your lover were visiting Nadia at the palace, looking for a fun day. Asra looked up at the commotion, expecting to see Lucio doing something stupid as per usual, but instead.. his eyes fall on the scars that litter on your arm. The blood drains from his face. Asra suddenly feels anger. Not for you, he could never be angry at you. But at Lucio, for immaturely embarrassing you, and at himself for not noticing your troubles.

“ Lucio! Let go of them, you greasy fuck—“ he begins, but stops. It dawns on him that no scars are THAT perfect naturally.

“ .. oh, [name]. You wouldn’t— you didn’t do that yourself, did you?” 

You can’t look up at him, and you bury your face in your hands. “ I’m sorry, Asra. I didn’t mean to.” You mumble. “ It’s alr- well, it isn’t, actually.”

“ You’re so wonderful , [name]. You’re loved more than you know.” Asra rubs circles on your back, standing behind you and staring with concern. You couldn’t make out any words.

Julian Devorak: 

He hummed idly as he reviewed some of the blueprints he had for the palace re-design. He chuckled, speaking confidently.

“ darling, is our fiendish Lucio bothering you? Why I oughta give him a stern talking to!” He proclaims. You breathe out, relieved neither had noticed. 

“ Oh? What’s that, an injury? Come, my dear. Let me take a look-“ 

Julian gasps at the straight pattern. For once in his life, he’s silent. Words fail him as he looks deep into your eyes, wondering what’s wrong. 

“ .. I- when- why- you..” He sighs.

“ [name]? Would you like to talk about this..” Julian shoots a glance at Lucio, “ alone, perhaps?” 

“ Julian, honey, I- you weren’t supposed to know, I was struggling and it was only supposed to be once.” 

“ No, [name]. We all get lost in the ether, but this is.. terrible. You can’t do this to yourself, for my sake. I really love you, name.” 

At this moment, he wants nothing more than to hold you close. He feels so astronomically bad about this, he wants to make you feel better as soon as he can.

He hated Lucio. The anger and fury festered in the back of his mind, it almost exploded when Lucio messed with you.

But he couldn’t get any anger out of himself when he noticed the cuts. They were fresh, 

No words could’ve possibly relived his sadness then.

“ .. [name]?” His voice was timid, he’s surprised he managed to say anything. You ashamedly look up at him. 

“ .. I always thought you were the most beautiful person I’d ever seen.”

Muriel says that quietly and breathlessly, as well. He feared that if he talked any louder, he’d frighten you into thinking that he was mad at you.  He loved you so much, you were so important to helping him become a better person. ‘ so beautiful..’ he said once more under his breath, a sad expression shown on his face when his eyes looked back at the cuts again.
