you… you get it
My biggest problem with adults claiming every good piece of children’s media for themselves and saying things like it’s “not really for kids” ie Bluey MLP:FiM and ATLA is the fact that it implies kids aren’t worthy of high quality content which is just super bogus
For the past while I have been trying to get my stepmom into anime
I showed her Zombieland saga and she loves it (Saki is her favorite character with Tae as a very close second I’ll discuss why in this very post) we just finished the last episode of Revenge last night
We find out about the movie and agree to see it in theaters if we can because our town doesn’t have one so we’d have to go to the next town over
We also started talking about Tae and I said “I wonder if in the movie Tae will get her awakening”
And my stepmom says “well I hope not” and of course I ask why and she then goes on this whole speech on how Tae isn’t normal and how she loves that about her
She talks about how she’s glad Tae gets to be a little abnormal a little feral and a little weird and strange she even went as far to say that if Tae did get awakened it’d ruin her character
This is how I know I’ve at least gotten her foot through the door for anime
Not me doubling the word count of my wip because Ao3 is down
Omg I’ve been watching his superhero universe since the first video and it’s finally coming to life and it is incredible
Why didn’t anyone tell me the original Frankenstein novel slaps. I’m only at chapter 4 and something about chapter 3 just made me go ok yeah this book is rad. This is the most fun I’ve had with a school assigned book in years. The last time I enjoyed a school assigned book this much was Bridge to Terabithia.
Tonight I watched Princess Mononoke with my family and my dad compared lady Eboshi to Trump multiple times and my stepmom said Ashitaka looked like Speed Racer
update: I talked to her about it a bit more and turns out she hates Speed Racer because her brother constantly forced her to watch it with him
My lil sis took this pic of our cat today
Started building my first gunpla today. After finally giving the witch from mercury a watch I was like alright this is awesome. So I decided to buy a kit for it and because this is also my first Gundam series and I’m having a blast, what other Gundam series do you suggest for newcomers? And I’m having so much fun y’all, all the thoughts melt away when I hear that lil satisfying click of the plastic. I only competed the head today because as a newcomer I lack experience needed to finish one in one day.
So small, so precious. I love them.
ao3 is down? Welp now I have an excuse to read an actual book lol. It’ll probably be Uzumaki bought it at a manga store on a while even tho I’m a baby when it comes to horror
It’s called “Don’t Call it Mystery” by Yumi Tamura and it is so good. I decided to pick it up because of
On YouTube because I’ve been actively trying to consume more shojo and josei lately. You all should check her channel out if you love shojo and josei. Or simply are looking for good manga recommendations. And I’m so glad I took her recommendation. As you can assume from the title it’s a crime mystery drama about a college student solving crimes, but takes a bit more serious approach to the concept of a young crime solver. It has multiple twists I didn’t see coming. And the art is so pretty. If you like realistic mystery crime dramas I suggest picking this up. And check out Colleen’s channel for more information about all kinds of shojo goodness.
Here is its Amazon purchase link.
