[plain text: NPD + ASPD adjacent flag! /end plain text]
After months, I am still on the rocks as to whether I have ASPD, or just display traits. Maybe there are some things we are never meant to know /ref /lyr /lh
So, I made this flag for NPD + ASPD and adjacent! It is general so it can be used by anyone who has either traits of NPD or ASPD or the disorders themselves.
[ID: Two images. The first image is a flag with nine equal horizontal stripes. In descending order, the stripes are dark blood red, berry red, pale brick red, orange, pale yellow, pale grey blue, lavender purple, dark blue, and purple brown. In the center of the flag, there is a white symbol. The symbol consists of an outline of a narcissus flower with the upside down scale ASPD symbol inside. The second image is a flag identical to the first, but lacking the symbol. End ID.]
Flag by me. Colors sampled from the NPD and ASPD awareness flags. Narcissus outline taken from The Noun Project.

Below the cut, I have included the transparent symbol, as well as CMYK versions of the flags! (If you(&) don't know what that means, it's basically the version of the flag in the colors that a printer would output.)
[ID: A white symbol. The symbol consists of an outline of a narcissus flower with the upside down scale ASPD symbol inside. End ID.]
[ID: Two images. Each image corresponds to one of the flags above. They are extremely similar, but there are slight differences in hue and saturation of some of the colors. End ID.]
ADHD, ASPD, Autism and NPD combo flags!
[ID: Two images. The first image is a flag with seven equal horizontal stripes. In descending order, the stripes are black, desaturated red, yellow, white, sky blue, bright pink, and grape purple. The second image is a flag with twelve equal horizontal stripes. In descending order, the stripes are black, desaturated red, salmon orange, yellow, white, sky blue, lavender purple, dark blue, smoky black, grape purple, light maroon pink, and bright pink. End ID.]

hey guys, ive been trying to look for information on NPD and ASPD comorbidity but the only things i can find online are ableist "narc abuse" articles LMFAO...
i am questioning if i may have comorbid NPD and ASPD, but im not entirely sure how this comorbidity might look... so i figured id ask and see if anyone with the comorbidity could explain
i fucking hate the boredom aspect of ASPD
it makes me super irritable and stressed too. i’m so wound up i just need to take it out somewhere. and snapping at someone and getting into an argument is something to do.
“why’d you punch him?” i was bored.
“where were you?” outside, wandering. i was bored
“why’d you steal.” i was bored.
nearly everything i do is because im so bored. i feel so trapped in my home.
being friends with other people who have personality disorders >>>
being able to understand each other’s paranoia
being able to understand each other’s world view
just being able to talk freely about your experiences without fear of judgement
I hate this constant feeling of emptiness and boredom, so I mess with people’s emotions just to get some kind of reaction. Starting arguments or pushing buttons doesn’t bother me because at least it gives me something to feel. If people end up blocking me, I get it, but honestly, they’re just too sensitive. I’m not trying to hurt anyone, but I’m not going to apologize for stirring things up either. Sometimes I probably take things too far, but they’re the ones overreacting. It’s entertaining to me, and if they can’t handle it, that’s on them. Sure, there are healthier ways to deal with this boredom, but this one’s just the easiest and most entertaining way, in my opinion.
i wish i lived in a world where being low energy, lacking enthusiasm and being nonchalant was accepted in society and it was the norm to assume that it’s nothing personal when that attitude is being presented to you. i hate that i have to overextend myself in my job or in social situations to comfort others when it doesn’t have to be that way.
taspdfw you had conduct disorder as a kid and you were physically punished, emotionally punished, grounded, etc but nothing clicked and you just kept doing the same shit. and your parents wonder why you want nothing to do with them.
People with Cluster B Disorders. I am sorry about the world. People with Psychotic Disorders. I am sorry about the world. People with OCD. I am sorry about the world.
So many people say they're allies, sometimes even specifically to you, but oftentimes they're lying. They refuse to accommodate on even the most basic level and then treat you like a monster. It's fucked up. It's not your fault. You are not uniquely evil or fucked up. They're just Ableist, and you're just naturally struggling in a world that makes itself completely hostile to you.
It's very common for people to push those with demonised personality disorders to the end of their tether via manipulation, bullying, abuse, etc. and then get upset with them when they inevitably snap.
It happens a lot within the neurodivergent community, too! People spread lies about us, do things that purposely upset/trigger us and then when we start to get upset/stand up for ourselves/etc. it's "sEE??? we were right about them all along!!!!"
If you’re someone without a personality disorder trying to defend people with personality disorders, you get told that you’ve been manipulated and brainwashed and can’t be trusted.
If you’re someone with a personality disorder trying to defend yourself, you get told that you’re manipulative and dangerous and can’t be trusted.
There really is no way for us to win.
Some of y'all be like "Oh yeah I support Cluster B" until they:
Have debilitating cognitive problems
Are depressed
Have emotions that aren't aesthetically pleasing
Don't know healthy coping mechanisms
Have a different view of social norms
Struggle with relationships
Do actions that for you are "obviously purposefully evil"
Explain the thought process behind their actions, not excuse them
Have trauma that just by existing doesn't invalidate yours but somehow that thought scares you
It's almost like you don't support Cluster B, hm.
hey i just wanted to give a shout out to people with personality disorders real quick. your disorder doesn't make you evil, it doesnt make you an abuser, and it doesnt make you unlovable. you're just as deserving of respect, care, and support as people without personality disorders. stay safe, i love you and i hope you have a happy holiday season. we're in this together <3
Just a reminder that ableism against personality disorders, especially cluster b personality disorder, is alive and well.
Not having empathy doesn’t make someone evil. It doesn’t make them an abuser. In fact, people without empathy are better in certain vital positions. We’re better at being first responders, 911 operators, and other tasks that would overwhelm empaths. We work better in critical situations than empaths do.
Thinking that any disorder makes someone evil is ableist. And when you take into account the sexist bias in diagnosing women with BPD and the racist and classist bias in diagnosing POC and prison inmates with ASPD and NPD? It’s not only ableist, it’s all kinds of -ists. Plus, it’s really rich for someone who claims that empathy is what makes someone good to have so little empathy for people with disorders that are literally trauma-based.
So yeah if you see someone being a dick to people with PDs? Say something. Because they’re definitely not going to listen to us.
Can y'all please stop using words like "delusional", "psychotic", and "narcissistic" as insults. These are terms used to describe mental illness. Mental illness does not make people evil, stop acting like does.
‘how do you expect people who have been abused by someone with NPD to refer to their abuse then?’
by calling it what it is: emotional abuse.
it’s not difficult.
slapping the word ‘narcissistic’ on the front of abuse is blindly assigning blame and associating the abusive behaviours with NPD, despite the fact that nowhere in the criteria does it state any abusive behaviours as a symptom.
i understand that people who are severely mentally unwell are more prone to abusing others, however to point the blame at a disorder (and therefore at everyone with the disorder) is ableist, irresponsible and grossly misinformed.
to put it into perspective as to how bad the stigma surrounding NPD is, i have been diagnosed with NPD and have been told i should be killed because of it, that i will inevitably abuse my partners i have had, i’ve had partners in the past be harassed by people saying that it’s ‘just a matter of time’ before i abuse them without any of these people ever even knowing me. i see endless amounts of things online calling all narcissists evil, as well as having my own experiences with abuse disregarded because they do not believe someone with NPD could be anything other than a perpetrator, despite the fact NPD is induced by trauma. the list goes on.
your choice of wording does matter and it does damage people with NPD.
Reblog/interact if your blog is a safe space for all people struggling with their Cluster A, B, and C personality disorder regardless of whether they are high or low-functioning in their disorder.
I don’t know who needs to hear this, but
👏Narcissist is not a code word for abuser👏
👏 Sociopath is not a code word for abuser👏
👏 Psychopath is not a code word for murderer👏
Not every shitty person is shitty because of a disorder that pop psychology likes to demonise. Slapping a label on every shitty person out there is ableist toward the NPD/ASPD sufferers who are just trying to get by. Stop it.

“Go to therapy” Are you gonna pay?
Not a day passes by without me being mad as shit that ableism against demonized mental illnesses is normalised.
We are not criminals. We are not dangerous. We do not owe neurotypicals a complete explanation on why we developed our disorders and why we aren't serial killers that kidnap people.
Fuck hollywood, fuck ableist criminology and fuck saneism.
another mental illness meme i made out of boredom
Consider these
People with personality disorders are not inherently abusive. Yeah, even people with NPD and ASPD (why do I have to say that?) There is no such thing a narcissistic abuse. People with ASPD are not serial killers. They are people, stop putting them down for no reason. People with personality disorders are welcome here. All of them.
Armchair diagnosing is bad. I don't care how shit someone is, if you call them a narcissist, a psychopath, a sociopath, a compulsive/pathological liar, or literally any other disorder that they haven't been professionally diagnosed with, you're a dick. You can't know what's going on in their head. You are not their doctor and are not qualified to diagnose them. And it's just a dick move to diagnose Casey Anthony as someone with a heavily-stigmatized symptom THAT I ALSO HAVE HAD
Stop. Tagging. Your. Writing. With. Disability. Tags. The PTSD tag is nearly unusable because everyone tags their fics as PTSD. Stop it. That space is not for you. It's for us.
People with intellectual, developmental, cognitive, whatever disability deserve to be heard.
As do semispeaking and nonspeaking autistics.
Yes, we do need to listen to caretakers, they're how some people communicate. No one is invalid because they're a caretaker, they're invalid when they're an ableist caretaker.
If the autism "cure" were to exist right now, it would mean eugenics. I don't give a shit if you want it, it would mean eugenics. Society is way too anti-autism for us to trust non-autistics with a cure. I won't get into my rant about the concept of a cure unless asked, it doesn't matter. What does matter is that if that cure is created, it will be forced on people, even those who vehemently oppose it, so it can't exist yet without putting people in danger.
Autism Speaks is shit. So is National Autistic Society. So is the Autism Society. ASAN is on thin fucking ice.
Stop tagging political posts with NPD, ASPD, compulsive liar, or no empathy. You're being ableist and armchair diagnosing. And putting that shit on our feeds.
ABA is bad. Yes, always. All of it. I lost a friend to ABA and I will not budge on this. All pro-ABA people will be blocked, I do not give a shit.
I do not care about syscourse. I am not a system and am not qualified to have an opinion on it.
If you point out typos, grammar mistakes, or whatever when the other person hasn't explicitly said it's okay, stop. You're being ableist.
Stop using TBI as an insult. Yes, I was dropped on my head (okay, I fell, but still,) as a baby. Fuck you too.
This is a safe place for systems and I'm firmly anti-Split.
Autistic and intellectually disabled people are allowed to transition, be queer, get tattoos, drink, have sex, whatever, should they so want.
Mental age is bullshit. He doesn't have the mind of a two-year-old, he has the mind of an adult with IDD.
The posts of disabled people are not an excuse for you to trauma-dump. I don't care what your ex did, that person with NPD wasn't talking about them and it's a dick move to bring that up on their unrelated post.
People should not have to work to live. No one. Ever. Period.
Healthcare should be free
Caretakers need to stop killing their disabled charges
Autism Mommies (TM) are shitty people.
Don't even get me started on Fathering Autism (bitch, you aren't fathering autism, you're fathering ABBY)
Disabled people deserve dignity and privacy. All of them. Yes, even those ones. We're still people. You don't need to know how we go to the toilet.
Fiction does not determine morality and sending people anon hate telling them to kill themselves is a shitty thing.
Telling people to kill themselves in general is a shitty thing. What are you gonna do if they actually do it and you get arrested for manslaughter?
Trans kids deserve to transition, intersex kids deserve to not be mutilated and forced onto HRT when they can't or don't consent, children can and will be queer
Actual sex education needs to be standard
Label policing LGBT+ identities is bad
Devotees and "transableds" are not allowed here
Children and disabled people deserve to exist in public, even if you don't like us
Stop. Saying. Retard. Stop using autistic as an insult. Stop it and go to hell.
I'm pro-choice and I know you don't actually care about fetuses with Down Syndrome, you're just trying to guilt me.
I will reblog with more takes as they occur to me
And, most importantly, listen to ALL disabled voices. All of them. Every single one. We stand together or we don't stand a chance.
