Ask Game: Get to Know Your Kpop/Fame Dr!

Reblog for asks! Or you can reblog to answer some of the questions yourself! Some are own-group focused.

I tried to make some of it usable for both kpop and fame shifters but I did make this with my kpop dr in mind, so some things here might not work for purely fame shifters 🙇

I hope this doesn't flop.

🫵: YOU : What kind of image do you have as an idol/famous person? Does it match what you are like outside of your work hours? Do you have a title among the industry?

💫: Debut : What is your debut like and how is it received? Did it get widely praised and numerous wins (For Kpop)? Or did the popularity only come later and people remember your debut as "one of the greatest and most overlooked debuts of all time" ? Did you debut in a big or small company?

🎲: Game Changer : What is something you're bringing that you feel like are gonna shake things up in the industry? Could be a project you have, something you're working in, or just you being yourself!

🤩: Fan : Do you have any celebrities/idols you can't wait to meet, befriend, or perhaps date in this dr? Do you have scripted/imagined scenarios of how you're meeting them?

📃: Routine : What part of your daily schedule do you enjoy in your dr the most compared to your schedule in cr? How do they compare?

👤: Trainee : What was/is your trainee life like? Was it a dark and tough time for you or did you breeze through your training like it's as easy as breathing? Were/Are you the trainee that always ends up at the top rank or do you keep a quiet presence until your debut?

🧑‍🤝‍🧑: Members : What are your members/closest peers (for non pop group shifters) like? What does the group dynamic look like and what is your "role" among them? Are you the chaotic little gremlin or the calm and serene one?

😎: Quirk : What is a little "quirk" of yours that became widely known among your fans or even non-fans? Maybe it's an inside joke, an ongoing bit, or a hyperfixation that you talk about publically lol. Some fun little thing that's became part of your public image branding!

🔍: Association : Is there a character, food, brand, designer, literally anything the public associates you with? Maybe you bear an uncanny resemblance personality or looks wise to a video game, movie, or cartoon character or you can't stop talking about something so much that you're just associated with it now.

💖: Romances (?) : Any scripted or anticipating romantic escapades? Perhaps you got caught dating with another celebrity... Or you got into a dating scandal without even dating the other person??

💥: Scandal : What is something about you/your group that can warrant a scandal or controversey? Or did you intentionally script/experience one?

🤳: Socials : What is your social media profile (instagram) like? Is it full of aesthetics - cute, romantic, elegant, sexc, yada yada - or you have random photos of your little plushies being strung on the ceiling fan? Did you think of a handle for it?

🏠: Living : What's the living arrangement for you? Do you share a living space with your members in an apartment or house? Or do you live alone? Have you pictured or scripted what your living space looks like?

💵: Foundations : What is your background prior to fame? Do you have connections to people inside the industry that made it easier for you to achieve your (deserved) fame? Or were you randomly scouted or came from an entirely different background?

💩: Beef : Do you have beef with other famous people? Or do you have someone, famous or not, who you absolutely DESPISE with all your being and would pay to see suffer and are scripting in their downfall as we speak?

🦎: Experience : Do you have any experience around the entertainment industry prior to being an idol/famous person? Or were you trained in any performing arts before you became a trainee? Or perhaps you just learned everything as a trainee and became the best at it lol

🐻‍❄️: Fans : Like idol, like fan... What is your fanbase like? What kind of reputation do they have? Are they absolute sweethearts or chaotic and insane? Do your fans match the personalities of their idols? How do your interactions go?

🐦‍🔥: Unique : I assume you shifted to this group with the intention of it being super successful or at least having a loyal fanbase. What draws people towards your group? What about it sets you guys apart from the others and truly makes you one of a kind?

🦊: Mischief : The industry's insane and borderline impossible rules and standards for idols/famous people is not a secret. That being said, do you have anything about yourself or your group that would violently clash with these standards? (think: idol/public-image, beauty standards, dating etc)

🦭: Secret : In an industry where people's images are so sanitised, any normal person would have a lot of things their fans don't know about. What's your little secret that maybe not even people among your group/peers know about? Could this completely change the public's perception of you if it was out?

introducing my kpop drself

EARLY LIFE :

Moon Seulbi was born October 8th 2004 to a lawyer mother & businessman father in Seoul , South korea. She is the youngest of three siblings , Moon Jinyoung & Moon Jisung are her older siblings , Jinyoung (Da’ah) is an actress while Jisung is a fellow idol.

During her childhood / teenhood , she traveled and lived in many places, for example , the first 5 years of her life were spent in Tokyo, Japan , where she began dancing . Then she spent two years in Paris , where she first witnessed Fencing, and she begged her mom to learn.

SCOUTING STORY :

Her father was a prominent businessman and was friends with JYP , Jyp offered to train his daughter ( Seulbi ) to be an idol, and without her consent, He agreed, on one condition, he would have a manager street cast her first, to take the blame off him.

Seulbi was seven years old when she was walking with her mother to the park when a JYP manager came up to her and asked if she’d like to be an idol. Seulbi, who was extremely emotional and afraid of everything, immediately burst into tears. Her mother agreed on her behalf.

DEARLIE :

DEARLIE was a 4 member kids girl group under JYP entertainment, the group consisted of Minseo, Sieun , Jaylie & Sooyoung. They debuted august 16 2013 with the song “Gee”. The group disbanded in January of 2016 after their contracts were terminated. 

Dearlie was a highly successful group , even with the controversy of a 8 year old debuting, it was marketed as a “kids girl group” for that exact reason. It remained unknown until 2023 why their contracts were mysteriously terminated.

POST-DEARLIE :

Sooyoung was only 11 years old when DEARLIE disbanded, eager to stay in the kpop industry where she felt appreciated, Sooyoung partook in Sixteen, Idol school & Produce 101 , all in the time of 9 months. After failing to debut in the three groups, Sooyoung quit being a trainee but was hired as a producer, stylist, choreographer  and concept designer for JYP , she worked on groups like SKZ, MISS A, TWICE & ITZY. She was the "mind" behind Skz, as she created their concept & discography nearly by herself

During this time, she didn’t even live in Korea ! Sooyoung attended the most prestigious boarding school in the world , Lucent arts academy in England where she majored in dance and minored in mythology until her departure in 2019.

LYONU :

Sooyoung had been longing for her return to the Kpop industry for a while, so when TNS reached out and asked if she’d like to audition for them, Sooyoung said yes. By July of 2019, Sooyoung was a trainee at TNS, by September of 2019, she was in the debut line up.  !! She had quit JYP by then !!

The nowhere girls club (TNGC) debuted June 5 2020 with the song Generation , it was a massive hit both domestically and internationally, with Sooyoung serving as the songs producer & songwriter.

By their second comeback with the full album “Stay out of my secrets” and the double title tracks Girls never die and Girls capitalism, TNGC had secured their place as a force to be reckoned with, not just in the kpop industry, but with the global music industry itself, with being nominated for 6 grammys and going home with 5.

SOLO VENTURES :

Moon Sooyoung is a brand. She is the most popular female idol ever. She has over 200 million followers on her solo instagram account , and she's only had it three years.

Some of her global  brand deals include : vivienne westwood, YSL, burberry , alexander mcqueen & graff diamonds. These are my 5 favs out of her 17 accumulated over the years. She is known as : global it girl, 4th gen fashion icon, dancing prodigy & ace of kpop (there are many more.)

Sooyoung constantly sets trends , including ; Lucky Jelly , off shoulder tops, reverse mirror selfies, heart cheek pose, , Sooyoungism, decorated shoes , custom decorated mics & more !!

For the two year and the four year anniversary of TNGC, each member released a mixtape for the fans, Sooyoung released BE PRETTY as her first solo and released INSANITY! As her second. Despite having small promotions, be pretty went extremely viral and got 1 billion streams in only 89 days and received over 13 music show wins in a 2 week timespan. Insanity! Also went extremely viral, reaching 1 billion streams in only 76 days ! it also received 15 music show wins in the two week promotion period

i'll be baking some chocolate chip cookies because its the only thing i can do perfectly ( i'm too scared to mess up infront of them) chaewons probably attempting to help but behind my back is stealing bits of the batter and bunches of chocolate chips , rei is blatant with her stealing because she knows i can't say no to her , the others are laying around doing whatever.

one day in december, preferably one thats only semi-cold , we rent out a skating rink & have an absolute blast. some of us had never been skating (or it had been an insanely long time since) so at the start we were very wobbly and fell over a lot.

after our ice skating adventure we went to get hot chocolate before going home to sit and watch some shitty Christmas movie

its def all 6 of us but me and chaewon are doing THE MOST , the others are contempt to have it be minimal and cute but we're like No it needs 212 ornaments and 6 different coloured garlands , and of course, the most beautiful and expensive tree topper on the market.

the first gift i'm unwrapping , most likely from either Yunjin or Chaewon , their talents in gift giving are trulyy like no other , they ALWAYS go all out .

Yunjin probably got me either a new journal for songwriting or a new book that i'd been dying to read that she'll eventually borrow to read by borrow i mean steal

Chaewon probably got me either some new yarn for my new passion , crocheting or a cute new lamp to display somewhere in my room or the apartment.

either way i'm extremely thankful !! my purinz <3

Christmas in korea might not be as big as in the west but due to having 4 foreign members ,, christmas is an EVENT for the tngc girlies, we go ALL out , massive ass tree covered in ornaments we all hand made , we all take turns moving the elf on the shelf , and gifts are placed everywhere because we simply buy eachother so much it no longer fits in our room.

THE NOWHERE GIRLS CLUB intro

THE NOWHERE GIRLS CLUB also referred to as TNGC, is a six-member girl group under THENEWSTANDARD. TNGC consists of; Manon, Yunjin, Rei, Chaewon, Sooyoung and Megan. They made their official debut on june 12, 2020, with the debut extended play ‘stay out of my soul’ and the lead track ‘accendio’. 

Originally set to debut nearly 2 years before with a near completely different line up , the circumstances with their debut and pre debut era was quite unknown until their documentary “the world is my oyster” came out in june 2021 for their 1 year anniversiary. 

GROUP INFO :

Name meaning: the name comes from the girls being from, well, nowhere, they’ve decided to form a club solely for girls as a safe space from the harsh cruelties of the world.

Fandom name meaning : KEYS . The name comes from being the key to the club , without them the club will never open. 

Concept : the group concept is a mix between mystery and magical girls, the girls basically switch between their real boring life (ie. their pre-release song) and their magical life (ie. their debut song)
