I think it would be really funny if Froghorn was like, a wild punk drummer when he was a teenager. im not sure if something might have happened to sober him up, or if maturity just hit him like a truck, but the idea of him with a bashed up kit in a dingy bar somewhere screaming along to All Along the Watchtower with his friends lives in my head rent free.

The fandom bug has struck again and Ruby Redfort is the unfortunate victim. Obviously, since my character preferences are basically Adopt an Asshole™️, I latched onto the good ol' Silent G
my headcannon for him basically revolves around him being workplace asshole by day and Anxious Gay by night. A lot of his behaviour points towards him being really insecure, so I figured it would be fun to play around with that and explore his character a bit

2) When I think I truly started to like them (or dislike them, if you've sent me a character I don't like) I think I always liked him. What can I say, he's a charming man.

11) What’s the first thing you think about when thinking about the character? This man who LIVES in suits just being the coolest ever. Like, a straight up comic book hero kinda guy. Sorta cliche but it works becuase HE'S SO COOL
21) When do you think they were at their happiest? Not sure honestly. I like to imagine he's very happy when he's working in the field, doing what he loves yk
24) What do you think is a secret they have that they never told anyone? He actually might've said this (oops) but as much as he loves Ruby he'd love to be relocated and work as a field agent again

My first impression of them: Evil, ngl. Maybe this is becuase I read the book for the first time when I was like, eight, but I thought he was gonna turn out to be actually bad.
9) Your least favorite outfit of them: All of them, I don't think he's style is that good tbh 😭 just plain brown 70s suits. Maybe tweed idk
15) Worst storyline they had: Being a dick
18) How do you think they were as a kid? (Like, were they shy, noisy, wild, etc): Very prim, very proper, very annoying. A total suck up to his teachers, but he secretly hated them and just wanted to be on their good side. Very sneaky, obviously, very smart and a massive show off who no one could stand :)

20) A weird headcanon: I think it would be very cool if LB was like, an early punk?? Kinda sorta?? It's set in the early 70s so punk was barely a thing but I just like the idea of a vaguely punk LB
24) What do you think is a secret they have that they never told anyone? Life became easier after Bradley was presumed dead.
29) How do you think they would be as a parent? (and if they are a parent, how do you think they would be if they weren't?) She wouldn't be the sort of mum to sugarcoat things yk, she'd always just say it as it is. No bullshit, but loves her kids v much and would do anything for them

21) When do you think they were at their happiest? I think when she's got something to focus on, and isn't just poking around for some kinda trouble. Like when she's learning to parkour, or skateboard, and especially when she's figuring out a new code. but also when she's with her friends, doing regular 13 y/o stuff like planning halloween costumes, and eating donuts.
25) When do you think they acted the most ooc? When she was talking to/following around Beetle, before he damaged Clancy's bike. Idk, everytime I get to that bit in the book I'm confused as to why it's there, I just feel like it makes no sense as to why she'd actually talk to this rando guy yk. OH and the bit where she gets into an actauly fistfight with Del, against Vapona. wtf was that???

3) A song that reminds me of them: Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy by Queen. I'm not sure how the song reminds me of him, but I can so picture him listening to it obsessively. They have the same vibe yk
18) How do you think they were as a kid? (Like, were they shy, noisy, wild, etc) I think he'd have been one of those kids who would be SO terrified to break any sort of rule, ever, and probably had a lot of anxiety about 'doing something wrong.' much more so than he does when he's thirteen.

23) Future headcanon: Changes his hair a lot as he gets older. Especially as a teenager, mostly to piss off his parents. Minnie + Ruby would help ofc

22) When do you think they were at their lowest? hmm. probably also in ftf tbh, it was a bad time for everyone. mans was STRESSED ab ruby constantly, more than usual. but also, hitch is kinda like a sad character yk, he doesn't have many friends (that we know of), much of a backstory, no moments where he stands out as being particulary 'happy'

He doesn't have that many continual connections to people, and he mentions he doesn't usually stay in one place for very long. we also know so little of his backstory, he really is rootless lol. it's also a super good song, and I love this question :)
5) My favorite ship of them: idk, I can't think of heaps of other characters to ship him with tbh. maybe blacker, since hitch is pretty well organised and put together, while blacker is just not, I think it would be fun, like an opposites attract thing

11) What’s the first thing you think about when thinking about the character? a very stereotypically 70s looking ruby smartassing everyone she encounters. her doing everything she possibly can, all the time. banana milk
28) The most unnecessary thing they ever did? I mean if we're speaking literally then everything she did tbh, she was just going out of her way to do exactly what she was told to NOT do, but specifically?? maybe when she took Archie out with her to like, fight crime. like either leave the lemon at home or wait an hour its not that hard 😭

7) A quote of them that you remember: i had to get my books out for this lol, i'm bad at remembering quotes. probably when he tells clancy to 'cut the churchboy act,' or something like in look into my eyes, when clancy is trying so hard to not ray ruby out. idk i just think its funny.
26) When do you think they were being "themselves" the most? I think when he's protecting ruby. like obviously he's pissed at her bc she's being stupid again, but he also like, cares for her?? he's a caring person and you can really see it in these moments, with these different aspects of his personality getting all wrapped up yk
