Me poking at my various AUs: yet another Ahsoka time-travel fic, this time Jango/Ahsoka/Quinlan

I recently came out to my mother's side of the family who are majority conservative christians and it went much better than I expected. Like, they were weirdly supportive. I only got one comment insinuating that I might possibly be going to hell but it came from my aunt and she's dying soon anyway so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Anyway, I'm telling them how shocked I am and that I honestly thought that they'd have more of a problem with it when my grandma is like "Well you know we've been through this before with your uncle Nicky" and I'm like "what" and so it turns out that my uncle Nick was born a Natalie, came out as a boy at 19, and my great grandma proceeded to pay for his top surgery and hormone therapy. In 1974. And I just had to process for a bit because my entire life no one has referred to him as anything other than he/him and his chosen name. I ask why no one ever thought to mention this and they're just like "tbh we forgot. It's been so long that he's been a man" This man is married. He has a wife and three kids. I ask my relatives how they went about having kids, whether through adoption or sperm donor or what and none of them know. Apparently he just told everyone that they were gonna be parents and then one day showed up at my grandma's house with a baby. No questions were asked. Just. He and his wife had a baby now and that was that. Three times. Weeks later when I finally talk to my aunt Sarah (Nick's wife) all she tells me is that neither of them have ever been pregnant and, I quote, "sometimes you just come into children". She phrased it like people use the phrase "come into money". Like children are something that just happens to you. I ask my relatives if any of them had a problem with Nick being trans at the time, saying I'd understand if they had negative feelings about it, as it was the 1970s after all. They were like "nope" and i was just like "you didn't think anything of it?" And my grandfather was like "these things happen" while the other adults nodded sagely. So I guess the moral here is that if my conservative christian relatives could accept my uncle as trans in the 1970s then there really isn't any excuse for anyone. And also my family needs to ask more questions because I'm fairly sure my aunt and uncle stole their kids.
I'm laughing my ass off at that last sentence- But I'm so glad your coming out went well! That's one heck of a way to find out you have LGBT relatives.
Sluttiest Obi-Wan Headcanon Based on This GIF:
This is a typical Stewjoni greeting because of course any planet Obi-Wan hails from isn’t going to just shake hands or anything that basic. No—no they kiss both cheeks just to say “Hello there”.
I mean—
Imagine—
Cody, offering his hand to shake: General, I’ve heard a lot about you. I look forward to serving under you, sir.
(Obi-Wan steps forward and kisses Cody on his cheeks.)
Obi-Wan, smiling: All good things I hope, Commander. I have a feeling that we’ll get along quite well—Commander? Cody? Are you quite alright?
(Cody stands utterly still not blinking or even breathing.)
Cody, slowly lowers helmet back over his head: *screeches into the void*
Within seconds there’s a procession made up of thousands of troopers going out of the hanger and blocking speeder traffic, all waiting to “greet” General Kenobi. Anakin watches, horrified, as he spots several troopers put on chapstick and taking quick spritzes of breath spray.
Late-nite clone musings…
You ever notice how when someone teases Hardcase, he just kind of looks at the floor and goes quiet? Like, he seems like the kind of guy who can give a good ribbing and take it right back. But it’s very obvious he doesn’t like it. When Jesse razzes him about looking sick after coming out of the Umbaran fighter, he gives Jesse an annoyed look (which could be read as amused annoyed, I’ll concede, but…), and when Tup points out that Hardcase wasn’t flying so much as “avoiding crashing”, he grimaces and turns away (very obviously upset). He gets defensive and apologetic when Fives tells him to take it easy.
Actually, Hardcase gets teasingly cut down a lot in the Umbara arc. Jesse does it for sure, Fives a little (even though they’ve only just met!), Tup does it because he’s trying to fit in, and even Captain Rex gets a jab in there. Hardcase puts on a show of bravado––”We can do this.” “It wasn’t so tough.”––and there’s evidence that he really does enjoy the adrenaline rush, but I think many of his reactions are just that: a show. I think he’s afraid of not being good enough, capable enough, and tries to cover that by being overly enthusiastic and daring. He grumbles when Fives tells him to figure out how to use the tree to get over the sensor wall, like it’s something he doesn’t want to do, but is he really just covering his anxiety that he might not be able to adequately do what Fives is asking?
This is just a thought, but it makes me wonder: Would Hardcase have pulled the stunt that he did in the supply ship if he’d gotten a little more support from his battalion? That was, really, the biggest way to prove he was in fact good enough.
what in the fresh fucking hell is in tatooine’s water because
jesus fucking christ
Thank you for this. This made my day
So, I feel like confessing something,,,
I don’t like Fudou portrayed as a punk.
I never liked it since the very early 2000s fashion choices of the show, it just didn’t feel right to me, something seemed out of place. And then Outer Code came around and finally I knew.
To me, Fudou dressed a certain way because he had no money to spend on trivial things like nice clothes, plus, he had to survive on the streets of a darker side of town and to deal with all sorts of bad people.
He couldn’t simply do that with a nice looking cardigan, could he?
He had to adapt to the habitat he was living in, much like a chameleon does to protect itself. Some things stayed with him, of course, he still was power hungry and ready to do anything but that is a completely different point from his fashion style of choice!
Yes he has a sharp tongue, is a sarcastic lil shit and surely knows how to pick a lock or survive in a fist fight, but those are all things he HAD to learn, not ones he actively choose to learn. Same thing goes for fashion choices.
I honestly headcanon for him to always have looked longingly at the windows of the nice shops uptown, secretly wanting for nothing but to relax in a fitting room with something more colourful, something that could make him feel like he didn’t have to always look mad at everything.
In this new universe he somehow had some more money and what did he do?
He bought white, purple, nice looking outfits almost all without any trace of punkness in them and he went to the hairdresser, not a barber shop, a hairdresser. And as far as the short tell us, he goes there pretty often.
So no, I don’t think Fudou owns a collection of knives or that he would wear black outfits or leather and dark makeup and overall be a street baddie because I don’t think that’s who he truly is.
He is someone who went through a lot and just wanted to sit back, wear pink, make his hair grow and help other kids like we saw in GO.
To me Fudou is yes sassy but also gentle as he writes love songs for Kidou on the acustic guitar. He knows how to send you k.o. but is happier cooking with Tobitaka. He was once a lone wolf but actually really love being sureounded by his friends. He wore cheap, dark looking clothes to be seen as someone to not mess with but just wanted to be a fashionista with lighter fun colours. He knows how to handle a knife perfectly but uses it only to cut gourmet food.
I know it’s funny to joke around and memes are cool, but I heavily dissociate from the heavy punk bad boy Fudou many seem to enjoy.
Not to say yall should stop seeing him like you do, take this as foor for thoughts and keep doing what you love. I know I’ll keep portraying him the way I always wanted, now that I can~
