Why do you love Talia so much and how did your journey with DC and Talia start?
Thank you for the question! I have always had a love for Batman since I was a child, watching cartoons of his mostly. I didn’t have any access to comics when I was younger for a plethora of reasons, but I did have video games, and the Arkham series is probably one of my strongest hyper fixations. Though honestly, as much as I enjoyed Talia in Arkham city, I didn’t begin to feel a strong attachment to her character until a few years ago!
I really couldn’t tell you why. I chose to read up on her randomly and felt such a strong emotional pull towards her, stronger than anything I’ve felt. She quickly became my absolute favorite character in any media, someone I could talk about happily for hours and hours. If only I had people to talk to! It’s a genuine shame she has such a small fan base.
On the other hand, Batman was my favorite hero because of how human he is. There are a lot of human heroes but their humanity isn’t quite as striking to me as his is. One thing I adore about Batman is how silly he is, while at the same time, being extremely serious. One of the issues a lot of people seem to have, in my opinion, is taking him TOO seriously.
He’s a man in a bat costume! He drives a batmobile and uses batarangs and batclaws and that’s very silly! But he’s also a gritty detective at the same time! I LOVE BATMAN!!!
I like plenty of other DC characters, but the Gotham bunch are definitely my favorites 😙
she's mother
Shout out to the guy that went through all my old posts and liked all of them this one’s for you OG
These references are so infamous I’m sure everyone has used them by now but I still love these poses AND talias hair swoop AUGH
I think they’d be a little bit of both! I like to imagine Talia had a public reputation similar to Bruce Wayne and not very many people recognize her or the Al Ghul name. So in public they’re cushy celebrities but in private they are very sweet and very in love ☺️
Yes, I'm nitpicking Talia's characterisation. There are things that I consider in my head canon and things that are canon that I don't consider canon, especially if those certain things are retconned and racially motivated, but that's just me.
Just saw someone saying that Damian's love for animals comes from Dick??? Bro have you ever read Damian's origin??? Do you know who his family is????
His family is fricking Al Ghuls. The famous eco-terrorist family. The family who has sanctuaries for endengared animals and plants. The family who wants to save the Earth from humans. Damian's love for animals comes from the Al Ghuls.
Dick stans love to attribute Damian's everything to Dick even if it is related or not.
Showing Talia some love.

How do I reblog something 8 million times
I’ve been playing Apex Legends pretty much since it came out. Took a long break on it and am finally back into now that it has crossplay but i’ve noticed something again that’s been irking me for a while now.
This.
Everything else about this skin is very nice except his hair. Not only is that shit..ugly but it’s also cultural appreciation.
As well as this,
Crypto is Korean if I’m remembering correctly and that skin is supposed to be the Hype Beast sort of style yeah. There is a PLETHORA of amazing hairstyles that are not only originally from South Korea but just in general and yet they chose a cornrow style...
I’m not even going to say anything about Wraith. Those look like grinch fingers not locks.
Now, listen. All this wouldn’t be so bad if Bangalore didn’t have the same hairstyle just in different lengths and colors for all her skins.
I love that Apex had a diverse set of characters pretty much from launch, I do! I was so excited to see that after months of playing OW and their “diverse” cast of characters. I love that they had two strong black(and incredibly attractive. Lookin at you bangalore.) women right off the bat but I don’t like seeing them waste their amazing stylistic potential by giving the all of the traditionally black hair styles to the non-black characters.
We want this:
Look at her! She looks amazing!
Not this:
No body wants to get an epic Victory Royale with rat tails on their head.
This timeline is killing me chat
Aight so I’ve been thinking long and hard about Talias fighting style thanks to a prompt from the homie @hadariwizard and I think I have enough figured out to finally write something on it
It’s a bit difficult for me to figure out power scaling. I don’t want to say that she should be stronger or better than another character because I could be totally wrong about it. But I think she should be on par with Batman when it comes to her capabilities as a fighter. I think she could be easily compared to characters like Black Widow or Gamora from Marvel comics.
Like for one just look at them real quick
Then compare the fact that they’re both trained from young ages RELENTLESSLY to be basically living weapons. They’re both experts at various forms of combat, mastery over various weapons from melee to firearms, expert tacticians with a mind made for battle, like I can literally keep going.
And now Gamora and Talia
Gamora is raised by the mad Titan Thanos. Talia is raised by The demon Ra’s Al Ghul. These men manipulate their daughters into aiding in their evil plans, and for the most part these two women desperately want to make their fathers proud. Raised and trained to be weapons for their fathers, occasionally shown affection and love to keep them on their side. Not to mention them both having a sister who’s tried to kill them.
As for her comparisons to Batman, that just seems clear. Talia has more training than him, and has trained for a longer time. They both receive training from the same/similar people. From what I’ve seen, she’s not really seen as a person who fights frequently, so people tend to underestimate her capabilities. In reality, it just makes her seem stronger in my eyes.
Talia knows when a fight is needed and when she can get her way with WORDS. She’s clever, and a master manipulator. Like I’m talking Azula level liar. She can use her wit to get her way without ever having to lift a finger, but when she DOES fight she is a DEMON. Come on now!! I think as annoying as it is to be underestimated, it also has a very clear advantage, and Talia uses that effectively. Never let your enemy know the full extent of your power.
One fighting scene I keep imagining in my head is her in this long flowing dress with a slit down the side. She’s got one hand behind her back and the other holds a chalice of red wine. Three thugs move to attack her and she uses her legs to swiftly take them down, never spilling a drop, looking down at them and taking a sip from her drink.
Another is one where she’s fighting alongside Batman and has promised to not kill anyone so she’s taking down these armed guards and dismantling their weapons at the same time, then using the pieces as a blunt object. That sort of stuff has been done before I just think it’s fun. Like she can definitely take a gun apart blindfolded and put it back together in 30 seconds.
