Edgar Meelow

I've finally drawn my favorite boy! Edgar is my oldest and most beloved OC, and i used to draw him all the time. I've never drawn him from this angle - but I'm super proud of how it turned out! i used alcohol markers, ink pen, and colored pencils.

a digital drawing of the same OC as described above. this time, you can see his full body from a side view. the tail structure is a little different, the figure itself is slimmer, the face is more cartoony and simple, etc.. in this drawing he is also holding a trident, but his other hand is extended for a red fish to kiss as one would a king. Edgar also wears a crown.

my first digital drawing of Edgar (from 2020) as a comparison. this piece was made before i had decided much about his story, so all the royal details were undecided and unused since. this was also during my early days of digital art - when i first started looking at programs outside of MS Paint, but i still had a screenless drawing tablet.

the finished drawing. i added more hatching to the shading, made his hair bigger because i felt his head looked a little small, and gave him a large grey bird tattoo on his chest, the wings spreading across his collarbones

a little traditional drawing to get back into the swing of things. i don't draw as much during the summer - very busy, less motivation - but i also work on bigger projects instead. so in between working on a DIY vest, I've been trying to draw every now and then.

this was made with pencil and cheap, almost dried alcohol markers. the main gripe i have about the finished piece is that the head is a bit small, but that just comes with doing traditional art

a sketch on paper with pencil. it shows a muscular man with one arm raised, his fingers spread menacingly. he has curly hair, some facial hair, and large ears, and looks vaguely like Pedro Pascal, but this was on accident. he looks disturbed and a little frightened

the sketch but colored this time with alcohol markers, and you can see that he has white/tan skin, brown hair, and brown eyes. his facial hair is darker than the hair on his head. the shading looks almost like hatching, but with marker instead of pen

an ink drawing of my OC Euphoria. he is humanoid with thick satyr legs and giant hooves, a thick rat-like tail that curls around his foot, a fit human torso with a sun and moon tattoo, a strong neck, a jagged but friendly mouth, curly hair, and large antlers that resemble those of a moose. thin chains hang from the antler "prongs", and a long cloth drapes over his leg (usually hanging like a loin cloth)

his appearance hasn't changed much since i first made him, whereas my first major OC went through major changes before i finally settled on something

i hope that means I've gotten better at character design!

a digitally drawn self portrait. in the drawing i have short brown hair, big brown eyes, and pink nose, cheeks, and ears. i also have a mole on my lower lip, multiple piercings, and a grey T-shirt. my skin is white but desaturated. the background is blueish, and rays of gold fan out behind my head.

my newest self portrait done on ibispaint on my phone last night

my previous one was also done on ibispaint, but in a much simpler style

my older digital self portrait. this one is done in a much simpler style with thick lines and a graphic style dotted background. in the drawing i have green hair, multiple piercings, a couple necklaces, and im wearing a brown sweatshirt. i also have brown eyes and the same mole, and pale skin with pink nose, cheeks, and ears.

(i also lost one of my piercings since that portrait to irritation, sadly)

this is my vest so far! I've been working on it in my spare time, and though it's slow progress since im embroidering almost all the patches by hand, im super proud of what I've managed. if anybody has any ideas for sci-fi / cryptid / queer supportive / spooky patches, please let me know!

the front of my denim vest. the vest itself is a dark greyish blue. the front has two alien patches, teeth patches, and some details that make one pocket look like a monster mouth, all handmade. some of the stitching on the front has been embroidered over with lime green thread, but it's only partway done. also, one shoulder has soft fabric spikes on it, but the other does not yet

the back of my denim vest. it has one moth patch (not handmade but it was a gift), one outer space patch, and one "protect trans youth" patch in the middle

as a side note, i do have a large back panel for this vest where the "protect trans youth" patch is. the back piece will only be attached with safety pins, so i think I'm going to put my more political patches there so if i feel unsafe i can cover them up. i made it over the summer but i recently started going back and touching it up, so I'll make a post with it soon!

the inside of my denim vest. the upper back panel is lined with light blue flannel, and has a loop for hanging it up. two large waist pockets have been added in the same fabric. two inner breast pockets were added as well but one is made of that flannel, while the other is white with a poem about Laika the dog embroidered onto it

progress has been made! I've added devil wings to finish the back, made a couple more patches for the front, and attached some D&D pins that i got from a local nerd shop/hangout space!

a picture of the back of a black denim jacket hanging on a closet door. it has a long patch of a hand-embroidered black and white spine in the center. on either side are bright red partially folded devil wings with a small white spike on the topmost joint. the tips go partially down the sleeves, so that they move when the wearer moves their arms.

a closeup of the two dungeons and dragons pins on the front of the jacket. one is of a 20 sided die with the words "saving throw" around it. the other is an artwork of a mimic that looks like a treasure chest with a monstrous mouth, with the words "dungeons & dragons" around it.

a closeup of a hand-embroidered detail on the side of the left sleeve of the denim jacket. pieces of white fabric have been sewn on to look like a bone that has been snapped in half, sending a few small shards flying out.

I'm planning to come back to the wings at some point and add some more details, but for now they're just solid shapes
