“But what does Grover bring to the table? He’s just the comedy relief character.” Grover is juggling the role of babysitter, mediator, and emotional manipulator and he cracks jokes too? Give him a BREAK
Sorry but the consensus song followed by Percy and Anabeth's absolutely confused faces followed by Percy saying our voting system failed had me rolling.
Their acting makes it so funny 😭🤣
so about Cardan's tail, why does everyone think it's so weird? I didn't think twice about it at first, probably because I picture it as being like a lion's tail as opposed to flesh with a tuft on the end (which, granted, is a bit unsettling).
but, like, imagine him being confused about something and just standing there with his head cocked to the side flipping his tail around in the air. imagine him lashing it while he's pacing around, upset or frustrated. imagine him tapping it unconsciously on something while he's thinking. imagine him and Jude lying in their bed, Jude messing with the fluffy bit of Cardan's tail while he's reading. he tells her to quit it, but she knows he's enjoying it.
I don't know, I like his tail. I like the idea that it can convey the emotions he doesn't show on his face.
Where do I sign?
petition for them to release like a deleted scene or something that shows the Gods on Olympus reacting to Hermes delivering Medusa's head at the end of 1.03 so we can see specifically how Athena and Poseidon's faces were pls and thank!
Can we all see how Athena blaming Annabeth for Percy’s antics is a representation of real problems in the real world? That today's girls have it harder than boys? That daughters have it harder than sons? Girls have to try much harder to be recognized as valuable. There is a reason why there are posts like "My father is the worst man in the world - and I am his favorite daughter". There is a reason why people talk about how strict mothers are with their daughters. How they push them around, even though the son does much less. NOT WITHOUT REASON when SA is talked about is it said , "or did she not tempt him?". Not without reason. These are the realities. And I’m pretty sure Riordan is aware
you’re right, my favorite fictional character would never.
Percy is the only pure anti hero in the whole Percy Jackson series. Hear me out. I know you will say Nico is an anti hero but Nico actually has a classic hero streak inside if you think about it. Just because he was blinded by revenge for a while does not mean his sole motivation in the books was that. Afterwise, he actually thrived to be a hero and did things to save the world, to be a hero. Remember the last book in PJO.
There is not one single action Percy did in the entire saga that was done because he wanted to be a hero rather than to protect his loved ones. He did not question if what he is doing is right before doing it but questioned whether it helped his loved ones. He did not have the want to be accepted by his parent like others.
That is one of the reasons I love Percy.

something about percy winning against ares by drawing first blood, not giving a fuck that it’s the god of war he is making an enemy out of vs him being caught totally unaware by luke and luke drawing first blood because percy hesitated, because this is his friend, because making an enemy out of a god is way more preferable over making an enemy out of a friend. percy winning against insurmountable odds vs him losing because his loyalty is truly and undoubtedly fatal.
I've always wondered why the Romans think demigods all of a sudden started getting claimed? They couldn't know about Percy's deal with Olympus, so what do they think happened?
The gods were probably like "as a reward for fighting in the war we will now claim you all!"
The Romans were probably pretty proud of that.
Then like a year later this conversation happens:
Annabeth: and then after Percy made the gods promise to claim all their children-
Jason: THAT WAS YOU?!
Percy: yeah. Why did you think the god suddenly started claiming everybody?
Prompt #3
Okay so we all know this:
Hero: I'll save the world even if I have to sacrifice myself.
Villain: I'll burn this world down for you.
But what about this:
Hero 1: I'll save the world even if I have to sacrifice myself.
Hero 2: I'll burn this world down if it meant you're by my side as long as I breathe.
