Seeing you work with clay is making me want to try! I've wanted to work with polymer clay for years but I was always so scared
Anyway, thank you for allowing us to see your progress! I can't wait to see the final result :)
nothing to be scared of, the clay is cheap and you'll be wasting nothing (it's only now that you're wasting time not having tried it) - go on, create, make mistakes and have fun!
I want to share as much of me (seemingly) failing as possible, because I feel like everyone I know struggles with perfectionism and overall a very bad/toxic mindset that social media taught us - everyone posting only their best work makes you think they surely never fail and therefore you suck. It teaches you mistakes are something very, very bad and makes you scared of even trying to make your own stuff, which is wrong on so many levels. Mistakes aren't good or bad, they're an essential part of the process you have to accept (and everyone makes them, no matter how experienced they are); you won't make mistakes only if you don't do anything, and we don't want that!
I learned to accept this a rather hard way - the shittier my life got the less serious I'd get (about myself, my art and running my socials) and failing at anything became a joke (ah man, I only have to remake it another 60 times and we'll be good!).
SO GUYS try not to take your art too seriously - everything can either be fixed, started over or remade as many times as you wish
the 2023 coal incident
only in Poland you get 1 ton of coal delivered like it was a new refrigerator [it was a one-time occurrence, because there was no coal in the whole fucking country (according to dad, who got angry, then forgot he ordered it, didn't have the money, got super angry; the delivery guy couldn't unload this shit, they both got furious; I think I was about to take a shower and hilarious scenes (always) happen when I look out the window; I didn't have the money, but we found the money anyway, then I had to unload the fücking coal 3 times)]
ANYWAY
ARCANE | 1/6 Dolls, customization
Took me a while to finish this because the coat was a nightmare, and it's not my best work but ahhh, it's finally (mostly finished). One day I might 3d print the hammer and color it to finish the look.
Seriously it sucks that there very little merch for Arcane that isn't about Jinx. There are so many cool characters.
🟥 ABOUT ME a guy, a looser and a creative mind loves to make stuff, decent at photography, struggles with drawing, enjoys shitty comics and collages, knows basic 3D, bit of a nerd and (formerly) a huge Arcane fan
🟥 TAGS #hor.art - my art #ask🍞 - are open #horeblog - reblogs #sthory - stuff I would post on insta story (shitpost, life updates); it usually gets deleted after a few days #katalog okazji - Polish supermarket flyer made entirely out of jokes
🟥 OTHER 🔻 sorry for not reblogging much, I couldn't decide if I want my blog to be original content only or not 🔻 if I don't follow you back, it's most likely because I'm easily overwhelmed and already consume way too much content; I hardly ever follow anyone these days 🔻 if you follow me on Pinterest, keep in mind that sometimes it won't let me view/respond to comments or edit my own posts

my back rehab isn't going well
hey, I may be a few days behind (on Arctober), but I've finally finished my chomper grenade for the Jinx prompt (well, at least as much as I'm willing to, because there are a few details missing and the bottom part is not painted)
it's entirely out of paper, work in progress pics below edit: here's a post explaining how I made it
love the firts paintjob (I forgot I could mix colours instead of only using black and white 👍🏻)
anyways, it's not as small as it seems to be in the pic where I hold it - it's about 12 cm tall
it's rather cute and was fun to make (not so much to paint), would recommend
don't think I can keep up anymore, but here's the rest of the stuff I drew for Arctober before I focusted on finishing the grenade
for the "magic" prompt I tried to recreate a page from Jayce's notebook (and failed at illegible writing)
drawing finally felt fun and not like a torture! I even introduced some colour and you won't believe it, but I actually like one or two pieces presented here
for a very long time I was not used to drawing more than once a month (at best), so this is a journey I'm proud of - a "physical" proof it is worth pushing yourself through painfully scribbling some shitty drawings to actually get better and discover you're not as stupid as you thought
