Still cant believe how much I cried after watching the first Ms Marvel episode. I'm a latina and was still able to relate to a lot of stuff. For the first time I dont mind the comic inaccuracies, I feel like what they did instead just elevates the characters and the story. Iman Vellani is truly the perfect Ms Marvel and I cannot wait to see more.

Honestly I was like, How dare you???. Like even if we go inside someone's house or even a shop. WE. REMOVE. OUR. SHOES. And I don't think I've seen shoes allowed in any place of worship. Like have some common sense. You're not respecting their place of worship and you expect them to help you willingly? Uh uh I don't think so. Also, Nakia ROCKED in that scene. I love her!!!!

I already didn’t like the 'Damage Control Squad' and the agent lady but man my blood boiled when I saw them marching into the mosque with their shoes on, walking over the prayer mats with no regard or respect for the establishment. The entire scene showcases the existence of deep-rooted Islamophobia in American bureaucracy and culture in general. I am glad the makers decided to acknowledge the blame and scrutiny Muslim community faces over even the slightest occurrence. And it was good to see Kamala's hesitation to use her power because she might make things worse for her people.

Another day, another Ms Marvel episode bringing out all the important conversations about the South Asian Muslim culture.
