skip and loafer does relationships so well!!!! the development between mitsumi and shima is so beautifully done, but also, mitsumi with her friends and the relationships between the girls is just so realistic and heartwarming, i love it!! everything just happens so organically. takamatsu has taken her time to show shimamitsu's relationship become something more special, but she doesn't let it change the dynamic between their friend groups. we still see yuzu, makoto, and mika's journeys through high school and their friendship become stronger with mitsumi. every relationship, platonic or romantic, is handled with so much care it's so beautiful to see!! it's so sweet to read each chapter and see how far the friendships have grown since the beginning. you could feel the love from the pages!!!! <333

MY BEAUTIFUL GIRLS I LOVE THEM

Mitsumi, Mika, Makoto and Yuzuki are sitting in a diner booth. Mika and Mitsumi have homework workbooks open in front of them, sitting on one side of the booth; Mika stares confusedly at a piece of paper she's holding, whereas Mitsumi is talking animatedly to Yuzuki, who sits across the table from her. Yuzuki also looks animated, with an affogato in front of her. Makoto is lifting of spoonful of strawberry parfait to her face. A crepe matcha cake slice rests untouched on the table. The curtains are raised high, and afternoon light floods the scene. Shima, Mukai, and Yamada wave at the group of girls through the window. Everything is bathed in golden light and the girls are backlit and glowing.

I finally finished this stl print -- the girls studying at the local family restaurant "darry's" after school!
