|| Okay people, new plan, I broke my hand making the comic and I have a headache, so I decided to make a fanfic on Wattpad instead ||
|| The fanfic is called: “El Prisionero de Alas Rojas” ||
|| I did it in Spanish because it's my first language ||
I love my boyfriend
I decided I want to either start with Japanese or Korean for self studying languages again. Help me out!!
I've self studied Japanese on and off for years but I consume more content in Korean on a daily basis.
Thank you lovelies <3
What's The Best Way To Split Up Language Learning When Learning 2+ Languages At The Same Time?
For example, I'm currently studying Spanish and Korean and will be re adding Japanese in a few months. I currently try to do specific days for specific languages but find myself doing a little of both a day.

Thursday was a good day that ended on a sour note, but that happens sometimes, especially ok days when my therapy sessions go a little deeper. But it's all a part of the healing process.
🩷 What I Accomplished:
read 10 pages of a book
studied Spanish for 23 minutes
booked an italki lesson for the 21st
had an hour long therapy session
did my full night skincare
planned out some stuff
rescheduled my plans with my friend for Friday since she had stuff she had forgotten about
talked to my dad
zoomed with my boyfriend
re evaluated some of my health goals and action step
💞 Good Things That Happened:
I passed psyc with an A and all my grades are currently passing
I bought a watermelon!!!
took a 45 minute nap
my roommates washed some of my dishes (they've been petty for jo reason lately and have not been very nice so seeing that they did some of my dishes was nice. despite them throwing away my full, barely opened bag of spinach. but oh well)
💗 Stuff For Friday
cleaning final for restaurant class 1030am to 130pm
study spanish
read my daily minimum of a book
re plan my workouts for next week
sort out getting back to my morning routine
do my night time skincare
finish my very last assignment for the semester
go shopping and grab coffee with my friend
Thursday reminded me that I don't like staying in my room/in my bed like that because it just brings me down. My goals for this summer before I head to Colorado are to take walks, stay active, sit at my desk, keep my step count up, and just take care of myself. I deserve all the self-love and self care <3
💕 Song of The Day: aespa - Spicy
this feels like a summer vibe type of song.

Hello lovelies!
I want to get some more practice in my Spanish studying, specifically my writing and reading skills. I want to start posting some writing in Spanish on Tumblr but I'm a bit wary of doing so on my main profile because I feel like it's going to throw off the vibe and aesthetic of my blog. That being said, I am going to create a Spanish side blog! I hope you guys will give me a follow over there and help me out with my sentence structure, vocabulary, grammar, and just how I'm doing in Spanish overall!

follow the side blog if you love language learning content <3

12 Minute Yoga for Brain Power by Yoga with Adriene
read a bit if "Good Vibes, Good Life"

did my entire morning routine (I really enjoy my morning journaling, morning movement, making my bed, doing my skincare, all of it)
signed up for summer cleaning work for the first month before I leave to another state for work
💞 Good Things That Happened:
got the onboarding information for my work in another state for 8 weeks this summer
my co worker and I found out were going to be roommates for the summer work in another state! she's the sweetest and I'm really looking forward to hanging out with her!
recieved the chocolate covered strawberries I bought to support my friend's trip to Italy this summer (it's to help his major!) (I ended up buying more....they were so yummy)
closed my station very efficiently at work and got complimented by my supervisor on how I did
found out I passed the multiple choice part of my latest chemistry exam with a 92! just waiting on the one handwritten question to get graded!
am going to be able to pick up some extra hours this week, thankfully

work on chemistry homework OR my osyc homework, depends on the time and whatnot
work another ~7.5 hour shift at work

Monday was a decently good day for me. Me and my boyfriend had to sort out some stuff after arguing Sunday night but everything is good now, work had went amazing, and I got a lot done. I know everyone hates Mondays but I genuinely look forward to them.
🩷 What I Accomplished:

2 medical terminology lectures
medical terminology flashcards
medical terminology self + timed test
meeting with a financial aid advisor
submitted my application for a 2nd job on campus
prepped myself amazing at work
studied Spanish
made a study plan for chemistry for the rest of the semester
🩷 Good Things That Happened:
got to see my dad for a short bit
work went super good and I finished very quickly
got to zoom call my boyfriend and it went well
started the first episode of Parasyte The Grey on Netflix and in already hooked
got my lab notebook back from my friend
was able to leave my study room early due to lack of stuff to do
have more space in my room now cause my dad took a bunch of stuff I needed to get rid of
drank half a gallon of water total (I never drink that mih even tho realistically I need more water then that daily)
🩷 What Could've Gone Better:
ate too much and didn't eat the healthiest, but that's okay because everyday is a new day and a new chance to make some good choices
could've spent more time the past weeks looking at the stuff for my lab report so I would've gotten more right
got my chem exam back and I don't think I did as well as I hoped, but the professor hasn't posted grades yet so idk
realized I definitely need to study chemistry more then I thought
So, Monday was definitely a good day overall. I was surprised by how well work went and how everything felt but not mad about it at all! I love having good days! Let's hope Tuesdays just as good <3
btw, check out my depop shop if you get the chance, will be uploading more stuff soon!

💕 Song of The Day:
ILLIT -- Magnetic
When I say this song has been on repeat....I mean it's been on REPEAT. such a catchy song, I love the Kpop genre so much <3333

Today was a weird day. My anxiety was off the walls, and I think it's because that time of the month decided to occur, which is throwing me way off. Birth control has made that not happen for 2 years so, I was definitely caught off guard. (omg I hope that's not tmi, it's just something I gotta deal with again as a woman)
🩷 What I Accomplished Today:
Reviewed Spanish Busuu Chapters 6 and 7
Reviewed all flashcards once fully through
listened to one podcast episode in spanish
completed question set about renal nutrition from my dietitian mentor
met with an advisor regarding adding a 2nd major in finance
met with my advisor and got some good advice before adding the 2nd major
emailed the director of the Dietetic program at my college to schedule a meeting
wrote chemistry notes (need to finish and catch up with this week - I've missed both lectures)
completed a chemistry homework assignment
planned tasks for tomorrow
met with dietitian mentor
scrubbed my toilet clean
🩷 Good Things That Happened:
got an extension on my chem lab report
got confirmation of taking a make up quiz for my psyc class
took an hour nap
got excused from lecture and lab today (going to make it up tomorrow)
met most of my goal tasks
my meetings with the advisors went really well
got to talk to my dad per usual, and he was supportive of the 2nd major stuff
my boyfriend was supportive of my 2nd major stuff
met a super cute blue heeler puppy that was so cute and friendly, tho she did cut my thumb slightly but it's okay cause she's just a puppy
got 7k steps in today
🩷 What Could've Been Better:
could've managed my anxiety a bit better
could've been more productive instead of doing my "productive procrastination"
need to stop trying to do academic things while sitting in bed
need to stop trying to stay awake when I randomly wake up at 4am
need to drink more water, for sure
need to work on better nutrition
Today was a weird day. But that's okay. Weird days do happen. I know now what made it weird, and I'll adapt.

Can you guys comment me some good media/input recommendations for someone learning Mexican/Spain Spanish? I' talking about any and all that you guys find interesting, whether you learned Spanish on your own or it's your native language!
Books
Podcasts
Tv Shows
Movies
Youtube channels
Songs/Musical Artists
Favorite Spanish teachers/tutors on Italki
Literally anything!
Thank you guys <3
can anyone recommend a good textbook for learning Spanish? I really like studying using textbooks and I have two from when I took Spanish classes but they are the most unhelpful textbooks ever and I absolutely despise using them unless I have no other choice.
preferably I’d like a textbook that focuses on grammar as vocabulary is pretty easy for me to pick up given how widely Spanish is spoken in my city.
I’m also open to any music, song, movie, book, tv show, and any other spanish language learning material! I want to be able to speak spanish with some of the people I work with and I think it’s a great and beautiful language for me to learn overall, and definitely will be the most helpful!
*I am still going to self study Japanese during my six week break from classes, but I am going to try to divide my time between spanish and Japanese with a stronger focus on spanish! May even start a six week language challenge during my break to keep me motivated and accountable!
so if you guys have any recommendations for someone learning spanish (and even Japanese) , please comment/reblog this!
thanks in advance <3
small break from my normal challenge posts to ask a question and get some feedback!
I’m going to start posting some language learning stuff and hopefully some study type content as well now that finals are coming up and during the following break I want to dive back into my language studies to keep my brain full of knowledge.
Can anyone recommend some resources and advice/tips?
I’m looking for (Mexican) Spanish learning resources, Japanese learning resources, and advice and tips on motivation to keep going with the language learning, some productivity and discipline tips, and just any advice and motivation you guys have in general? Even if it’s not language related and just school and study related, I would be so happy to hear from all of you guys!
I look forward to posting some more normal everyday content along side the study school and language stuff along with my challenge updates! I feel like I haven’t been keeping up with the normal content I want to post so I’m really looking forward to doing more of that now!
anywho, thanks in advance for the resources, advice, and tips! I appreciate all of you, lovelies 🩷🤍
¡Disfruta!
TR: I heard this song for the first time today and I felt that “Creo en Ti” is one of the most beautiful songs of my life. So I want to share with you some key vocabulary and some grammar points that appear within this song. Enjoy!
creo en ti - I believe in you
(la) noche - (the) night
(el) cielo - sky (or heaven depending on context)
(la) calle - street
(el) laberinto - labyrinth
rendir (v.) - to defeat (this verb has many meanings, in this context, it means defeat)
(la) piel -skin
(el) corazón - heart
desarmar (v.) - to disarm, to take apart, to disassemble
(el) amor - love
(las) luces - lights
(el) alma (n.f.) - soul
indestructible (adj.) - indestructible
(el) dolor - pain
(las) fantasmas - ghosts, phantoms
(la) paz - peace
(la) caída libre - free fall
Porque el cielo ha conspirado en mi favor - Because the heavens have conspired in my favor:
ha conspirado = present perfect tense (haber + participio pasada)
Me haces bien - You make me better (literally: you make me well)
me (pronombre) + haces (hacer en el presente 2a persona) + bien (adjetivo)
Creo en ti - I believe in you
Creo (creer en el presente 1a persona)
Creer means to believe. When pared with “en” + “persona/pronombre” it means “to believe in...”
Me ha vuelto indestructible - I have become indestructible
volverse (con pronombre) = to become
“vuelto” is the past participle of volver(se), it’s irregular
me vuelvo (presente) = I become
me ha vuelto (pres. perfect) = I have become
Mi dolor se quedo kilómetros atrás = my pain stayed kilometers away
se quedo = quedarse en el pasado 3a persona
this verb always needs a reflexive pronoun
Past tenses
te encontré = I found you
crucé = I crossed
esperé = I hoped/waited (what a fun wordplay)
This was super fun to work on! I didn’t include everything because that would take forever! I love this song so much, it’s so cute and sweet.
If you have any questions, reply to this post and hopefully I can help you out. This is my first time making one of these!
