little work in progress rn of how I imagined some stuff ppl in the capitol would wear
i decided to design an arena bc why not.
stuff abt the arena:
•starts midday but after the first night the sun doesn’t rise
•the only light comes from bioluminescent algae in the water
•the only dirt is around the cornucopia, otherwise it’s only seas and trees
•there are edible fish in the water if u can catch them
•I wrote out some other stuff so if u can read my handwriting then there’s that
i just finished rereading the hunger games (book 1) and can feel the obsession coming back full strength. the last time i read these i was in middle school so it’s been at least 7 years which is crazy to consider. and let me tell you, the books are no less brilliant today than they were then. if anything, they’ve gained strength and meaning in the face of today’s political climate
Guys I just spent the last ten minutes crying over a edit of thresh and rue paralleling reaper and dill. Like I’m genuinely stricken by grief at these children who I knew would die, dying. I am NOT okay do NOT contact me for a least the next 24 hours or I’ll cry.
time and time again i am reminded that resistance is and will always be a team effort.
no matter how much capitalism tries to push us away and shove individualistic competitive culture down out throats, we band together and wield our strongest weapon. we love and thats our greatest strength.
