Peaceful Unrest

I wrote something Nightink/Inkmare/Vantablack, finally! Another thing to check off my bucket list!

Because of all this freaking humidity, there’s been a lot of nice days, but thunderstorms at night. And, honestly, I love the nighttime storms more than the nice days! (please don’t kill me—)

So it inspired me to write about this lovely ship! This is way longer than I thought it would be, so it may have some weird things here and there. But overall, I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it!

uhg i need to write more vantablack i love this ship

anyways have a really short drabble i wrote in discord in like 10 minutes based off this prompt

“i have to go.. iron... my cat.” ink steps back, smiling nervously at the taller, goopy being in front of him. nightmare, on the other hand, looks fairly unamused.

“ink you can just say you’re uncomfortable.” despite his attempt to keep his voice monotone, a hint of sadness seeps through.

“no! no i just- it’s not like that i *swear*.” ink waves his arms, trying to reassure him. “i just- don’t know how to respond? i’ve never been asked on a date before-“ he’s about to go off on another rant, but nightmare interrupts him.

“you can say no-“

“but i want to!” ink pauses, fiddling with his scarf “yeah. yeah i want to. i just- okay to be honest i was gonna go home and scream for at least 10 minutes.”

nightmare snorts, smiling a little “so.. that’s a yes?”

“yes.”

“alright. well, you can go iron your cat now.” he snickers softly

“don’t mock me!”

So this is kinda a post to make sense of the next one: So I showed you guys that Fresh!Ink drawing I did and I actually had a little kind of 'series' for it, which that drawing inspired. Basically this A3 sketchbook has 50 pages, so I thought why not make a challenge for myself and make a mid-shot portrait of a different sans on each page, similar to the Fresh!Ink one I did. So here are numbers 2 and 3, sorry for the lighting I forgot about this book for the longest time but you'll see in next post... I'm not very happy with the Vanta Black one and I'm a bit sad about it because he's one of my favourite sans :( But it does look better in person so eh. I chose this science image because it looks similar to a stop sign, and the killings must stop. 🛑 Also because #VantaBlack is the darkest Black there is, which applies to the cause for a variety of reasons. #BlackOutTuesday
